Xelion UK has launched Xelion 8, the latest iteration of the company’s multi-award winning cloud telephony platform. Xelion 8 is a ‘ground up’ redesign, with new apps and functionality to meet the needs of customers in a post-pandemic world of flexible hybrid working patterns.
The Xelion 8 video function provides true collaborative working for up to 16 simultaneous participants. Because the video function is native to Xelion 8, operation is smooth and seamless, with none of the clunkiness experienced with third party bolt-on apps.
Coupled with the new desktop sharing function, colleagues have all the benefits of remote collaborative working, exactly as if in the office! Users can share documents, spreadsheets, graphics and other files with colleagues, with everyone able to annotate and work together on common tasks, providing a full Unified Communications experience.
Occasional conference guests have no problem accessing the Xelion 8 video function. There is no app to download or account registration to setup. Because the video function is browser based, guests can join video conference calls easily, without fuss.
Xelion 8 provides the same user interface across different devices with different operating systems for the same user experience. The GUI has been designed with an intuitive, simple user interface for notebook, tablet or mobile, with no need to learn different protocols or navigation.
Xelion 8 provides full integration with Microsoft 365 including MS Teams. Xelion 8 integration allows customers to use the MS Teams application to call out over the Xelion platform, providing the collaborative working of MS Teams with the power of Xelion’s call routing and functions underneath. Xelion 8 treats the MS Team client as a standard endpoint removing all complexities and offers customers the reassurance that they still have full control over all the call recordings, call reporting, call flow, internal and external transfers and much more.
