Xelion reduces cost of MS Teams calling

    April 22, 2021

    22 April 2021

Xelion UK, the multi-award winning cloud telephony provider, has upgraded its integration with Teams, Microsoft’s hub for team collaboration in Microsoft 365. In addition to improving the user experience, the new integration Direct Routing solution is at a 60% reduced cost compared to the previous solution, based on a 12 month term. The new integration solution eliminates the need for MS Team user license extensions.

Xelion integration allows customers to use the Microsoft Teams application to call out over the Xelion platform, providing the collaborative working of MS Teams with the power of Xelion’s call routing and functions underneath. Xelion treats the MS Team client as a standard endpoint removing all complexities and offers customers the reassurance that they still have full control over all the call recordings, call reporting, call flow, internal and external transfers and much more.

Dave Reynolds, Xelion UK Managing Director, stated, “We pride ourselves on being swift to respond to the market and the pandemic has driven the rapid uptake of Teams. Consequently, we have cut the cost of integration with Xelion by 60% per user licence to meet this demand. Customers see a huge benefit to using Teams within their organisations but have been quick to understand that it is no PBX replacement on its own. Integrating Teams into Xelion makes a lot of sense and gives customers the best of both worlds. A major focus for the Xelion development team is the continued integration into MS 365 and other Microsoft applications such as Teams. The integration of Xelion with Teams delivers a total unified communications solution and we anticipate high demand from the market.”
